In my endless search for order in my horribly messy garage, I settled on a solid hook system. CargoSmart X-track appears! I've had to hang all kinds of crap, heavy stuff (heavy ladders, tree clippings, grass catchers, various tools, etc.) on the walls of my garage and it worked! It's a really solid, useful system, but it has a few downsides. Firstly, although the hooks and metal plates are quite strong, I wish the metal post was a bit longer. It couldn't be screwed into two posts in my garage because the screw holes didn't reach, and I had to install planks of wood all over to install this system. With that in mind, remember that this system is only as good as the screws you use and the wood you attach it to. DO NOT expect to screw this into drywall and then hang your massive heavy ladder on it! Again, this is just common sense. At the same time, the supplied screws kept breaking, and I ended up just using a few good screws from my collection. All in all this is a great and useful system, just be prepared to provide your own. extra wooden boards so you can fasten it with rivets and stock up on your own screws!
