I bought these to replace the Discasal 2" stem casters I bought for a CNC table that wasn't working properly. They're much stronger and I can maneuver the table if they don't come with instructions on how far from the base to install them, but I've found comments online that have been very helpful. 2 inches down to get desired lift. They worked better than I expected. We recently had new flooring and the installers said they would not move the pool tables. After a little research, weight estimation, and planning, these retractable casters made it easy to move my 8 foot pool table around the room. Excellent product. I put it on an extra heavy carpenter's table to roll around in the workshop in the garage. They are very durable and roll smoothly. The installation guide is somewhat close to useless. Poor English with grammatical errors aside, there are two big problems: 1. The instructions say to place it 2 inches off the ground to get 3/4 inch clearance. That is not true. If you set it up 2 inches off the ground you'll end up with 1 1/4 inches of clearance, which is way too much. When…

Very happy with my purchase. The reels were fairly easy to install, but what they thought the instructions were just a chart of reel mount dimensions. It would be nice to know the exact dimensions to install from the ground. It takes a bit of tweaking to figure that out to unlock the full uplift potential. Ok they do exactly what I need. I finally installed them on my workbench last night. It's probably in the 300lb range, so not too bad. First discard the template and take your own measurements. Attach one of the wheels to the base and sculpt a corner. You only need to go up about 1/2 inch for your bench to slide on a smooth surface. The kit had a simple diagram, but it didn't include an important detail - the distance between the bottom of the reel mount and the GROUND.
