The light was bright but I noticed that my light is vibrating at resonant frequencies. I removed the flashlight and noticed that the top left plastic refractor was loose and scratching the plastic lens. The fastening screws have loosened. bummer.i contacted Ocean Source and they got me a replacement very quickly. So thank you, I still had the stock light, but who needs a stock light when you can see a bright LED (at least with Vicky Octane). I sort of rebuilt my inventory, but avoided driving at night. Now for the light: It's bright. Much lighter than stock. In South Carolina, rural deer season is year-round. Story: Last week I got home around 11:30pm. I had high beams on when I was driving at 60 mph (I normally do 40 speed tops on this road at night, but the Caser drove too close when I was in front and hit the brakes too often when I was behind. Ocean Source sent me a replacement lamp as soon as possible. and i installed it asap. If I didn't have that LED I don't think I would have 40ft to react, it would be more like 25. That's NOTHING when you talk about dodging a two wheeled deer by doing 50-60. So if you have a standard flashlight, GO LED (even if you choose the differential style from the differential spot - just get visible! - this flashlight of mine is perfect for me, my taste, my safety). Seller has fast customer service - I had to use it to know. Light also looks good on octane. I don't rest there. don't wait to make this update. It's cheap and can save your life. buy with confidence. peace and be safe.
