Used as a backup drive. I used to make a backup on this computer, but I can't remember exactly how long it took. I remember it was manual and tedious. I connected this cable and a new backup hard drive and set it to maximum speed. I'm pleasantly surprised that my backup software is 6-10x faster than previous cables, drives and machines (I back up multiple machines). I will continue to use this cable in the future as I am pleasantly surprised that backups are now quick and painless rather than routine. Hooray!
