The screw does not fit into the recess in the chrome tab.
The clip around the base of the screw is too large to fit the decorative chrome end cap provided. Because the screw is crooked and can tear out the threads of your bike. I now see that at least one other buyer has had the same experience. The seller puts the washer under the cover so that the screw does not hang out. In fact, the washer should fill the space created by the ill-fitting screw. If the screw were screwed all the way in, it would be tighter and less likely to dangle. Buy another brand.
