For many years we have paid $400-$500 for an installation lamp/cartridge for our JVC DLA-X770R projector. And while it's easy to replace these plug-and-play cartridges, the cost is low. I only bought this as the bare bulb and while it's a little tricky just replacing the bulb in the cartridge (especially on the JVC X770R), it's doable. Replacing the lightbulb required about an hour of labor for the part, but the saving of about 25% is worth it. Now we can replace 4-5 lamps for the price of 1 lamp/cartridge. The lamp arrived on time and well packaged. Although it wasn't an exact match (and lacked the Araca branding as advertised), I was able to install it and the lamp worked just as well as expensive OEM replacements. I've only had it installed for a week or so, so I can't vouch for how long it will last. If you're a little mechanically inclined, this is for you!
