Review on 🔌 50-Foot Black Snagless Cat5e Ethernet Network Patch Cable by Cables Direct Online by Justin Early

I didn't have much Cat5e so I grabbed this cable (100ft) as a quick solution to hooking up an IP security camera. The cable was surprisingly thin and flexible compared to regular Cat5e. After setting it up I found that the throughput of the camera is just terrible compared to two identical cameras with custom made cables. The camera itself may have failed somehow, but I figured the obvious test would be to replace the other cable - problem solved. At Cables Direct, the camera's live timestamp would often freeze, the camera would stop responding to pan/tilt/zoom settings at all, and disappear from the IP camera network. I don't know what exactly is wrong with it, but I definitely won't buy it again. I have more cables so I can make the right cable as I have for most other cameras.
