Bought this for my office to listen to FM stations and bluetooth podcasts to avoid using headphones. It's amazing how few quality FM tuners are available. The volume is not needed in the office. you want soft. The lowest volume setting is still incredibly loud in this environment. Because volume levels are set digitally with a discrete number of settings, this is not a smooth transition. In fact, there doesn't seem to be much of a difference between the first four or five takes. Even if you unplug the power cord, the FM radio almost completely stops working. To use the FM radio when it is NOT connected to a power source, you must leave the power cord plugged in for it to function as an antenna. (Thanks to the seller for the tip.) My nine year old daughter loves it though. She thinks it's so cool walking around with her own music. I'll probably give it to her and try something different for my office. Yes, the price is great. I paid about $13. But there are many other options for around $20. For only $7 I'd rather get exactly what I need regarding the volume issue. Conclusion: Would have given 5 stars, but lowered it to 4 because the volume is not quiet enough.
