Review on Portable Super Antenna MP1DXMAX with Low Profile Tripod: Covers 80m-10m HF and 2m VHF with Go Bags for Amateur Ham Radio Use by Raymundo Miller

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Works on a tape, 80 meters, and nothing else.

My antenna is not working. I can only get it to oscillate on one band - 80 meters around 3.675MHz. The antenna will not resonate, the SWR is greater than 3.5 on any other band no matter what I do with it. If you're using an MFJ antenna analyzer, scanning each band will result in some small dips in SWR, but no more. Of course, it's possible I'm doing something wrong, but for a $400 antenna there's almost no tech support since there's no phone. Telephone numbers and e-mails usually go unanswered.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Large and bulky
