Review on XFasten 8 Inch 30 Foot Sealing Patching by Marcus Rash

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Effective seal but sticky with prolonged sun exposure

A roll of sealing tape reminds me of putty flattened into a makeshift roll, looks a little messy and awkward to store. I recommend some sort of zipper in a cool storage closet. Applying a putty-like product is made easier with a tool that makes it easier to apply putty. Playing with fingers is only suitable for tight spaces, e.g. B. for conspicuous gaps between the frame of an apartment entrance door and the threshold. Yes, seat filler does the trick and is paintable. The outdoor application has noticeably poor heat resistance and is easy to become sticky when the front door is exposed to strong sunlight for a long time in summer. However, the inside of the sealant holds up well and doesn't melt. For the money this is a useful product, it insulates from the elements (and road bugs like spiders) but needs further development by the manufacturer to improve heat resistance in full sun exposure.
