This toothbrush has two good things and one incredibly bad thing: 1) Pulses every 30 seconds to remind you to brush a different part of your mouth. 2) Turns off after 2 minutes to let you know you're done. 3) Once turned off, it will not turn on until placed back on the charging station. I have a permanent retainer behind my bottom front teeth and need to brush underneath them separately. Normally that would be fine, I would just turn it on for another 30 seconds. But not with this toothbrush! I have to take my toothbrush out of my mouth, put it on the stand and then put it back in my mouth. It's indescribable how disgusting that is. But that's what the toothbrush makes me do. It doesn't stay on for more than 2 minutes. She doesn't care about your needs! Another thing I like to do is turn my toothbrush back on after rinsing it to shake off excess water. This will help your toothbrush holder collect as much dirt as possible on the underside and is very easy to do with most electric toothbrushes. But not with this electric toothbrush! Even if you're done in less than 2 minutes, it won't turn back on for you to shake off the water! Once it's over, it's over and that's it! Literally why. The pamphlet they give you says it turns itself off after two minutes because dentists recommend brushing for *at least* two minutes. They don't say brush for *max* two minutes! Just let me turn it back on! It's not the battery. I know because it only needs to sit on the stand for a microsecond before I'm allowed to turn it back on. They simply programmed it to not turn on more than once between charges. My estimate is that the actual battery life is around 10 minutes, which is a bit poor for a standard electric toothbrush but as this refuses to stay on for more than two minutes. without charging between them is a moot point. I also have other issues with this brush but they are minor.
