Review on πŸ”Š Anker PowerConf Bluetooth Speakerphone: Enhanced Voice Pickup & 24H Call Time for Home Office Meetings by Gregory Sirgio

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's almost perfect. Great sound, easy to use, impressive support.

I have been using Bluetooth and USB teleconferencing equipment for many years and really wanted to submit this device for review. I compared it to the Jabra Speak 510 in various call scenarios. ** Latest firmware update available via the Soundcore app ** GOOD: - Build quality is excellent. It's easy to connect and doesn't try to intercept your Bluetooth like Jabra does. The speaker sound is excellent and has a wider dynamic range than the Jabra speaker. Premium packaging. The battery life is sufficient for most people - The speaker controls are really intuitive and easy to use. Different microphones around the device light up based on where it's listening to audio, so you can see which voice it's tracking. BAD: - Step volume control does not have adequate final level control. The volume seems to increase about 8-10% per click, so either 0% or 10%, which might be too much, but you can't fine-tune the audio level. It shares the volume amplification structure with your device and does not provide more precise volume control when listening to Apple Music/Spotify or Zoom calls. We often use the speakerphone in the office for background music when we're not on the phone, and we can't turn it down enough for quiet background music in the office. The lowest volume is too loud. The microphones are less sensitive and quieter than Jabra microphones, but are sufficient for everyday use in small to medium-sized rooms. You need to stay at arm's length or closer to him for best results. After lots of testing, including new firmware, I'm happy to report that Anker entered the teleconferencing market with some work, but after a few firmware upgrades they've created a solid product that I've shared with several other audiovisual professionals I was also very impressed with his performance.

Pros
  • 360Β° coverage: 6 microphones arranged in 360Β° pick up voices from all directions and instantly transform any room in your home or office into a conference room.
Cons
  • Waiting too long
