A decent option for a 2020 MacBook Pro

I bought this from Dell's website to guarantee a 3 year warranty as I was bothered by the experiences other people have shared on here purchasing 3rd party vendors. As other reviews and websites have pointed out, using a 27-inch 4K display with a Mac is not the same as using an iMac 5K. The native resolution of text and icons is larger than what you are used to. Viewing scaling options on macOS seemed fine to me, but I'm sticking with the display's native resolution to ensure there aren't any performance issues. I'm happy with the larger macOS look on this display, but YMMV. The biggest problem I had was that the Dell USB-C cable that came with it did NOT work for me. While older MacBooks only seemed to work with this cable, my 2020 MacBook Pro (Intel, 4 Thunderbolt ports) did not. I read on other sites that the M1 MacBook Pro had the same problem with this display. Only charging worked with the Dell cable. I bought an Apple Thunderbolt 3 USB-C cable (0.8m) and it worked by itself, allowing for eo video, charging and a USB-A hub.

Pros
  • anti-reflective coating
Cons
  • Non-intuitive control system
