I have yet to wear them in the water so I don't know how wet they are. I'll try to update after this happens. I'm 5ft 6" and 165. I wear L and they're a bit tight but I'm afraid XL can be an issue when wet, especially in running water, so keep L in. I usually carry M or L in suitcases. They touch mid-thigh and don't look like they're going to ride up. I plan on wearing a pair of swim trunks underneath to not show more than I want, it's unlined. I really like that I was able to get a pattern rather than just a solid color and they seem to be of good quality and at a good price. I'll try to update them when summer comes and I wear them in the water. With Labor Day on I wear them in the water a few times now and love them. She is not up or down, dried in a reasonable amount of time and comfortable.
