Bought this product to replace a Lorex (used for 6 years) that stopped reading its hard drive from time to time. Was a bit hesitant as it wasn't "branded". I have to say that it is easy to install. I simply disconnected the cameras from the old device and connected them to the new one. I threw out all the connections (USB, VGA, power cord), followed the instructions and bam! READY! Best of all, playback can be done through the app! No need to sit in front of the computer trying to watch pre-recorded videos. I've had Swann and Lorex DVRs and neither of them could do this. Only live view was allowed in the app. called customer service for help with port forwarding etc because other brands needed this feature; However, I was told that this was not necessary and that the software on the CD was suitable for installing the view from a computer. I haven't tried it yet; since everything I need is facilitated in the application. (🤞🏽Let's see how long it lasts)
