So my new motherboard only had one case fan connector, but my PC build has five fans. I had a splitter cable to work with, but that still left me with the problem of not enough connectors and lots of control cables when sharing the splitter with another splitter (previously, what follows me?) into this unit. It's simple but gets the job done. Four case fan headers and one processor header are easily accessible here. There is tape on the back to secure it in the case and after that you can connect all your fans and manage cables. This allows the motherboard to control all fans and adjust their speed. A header is marked for a CPU fan and I have not used it. I have no idea if it outputs the same voltage or is somehow different from the case fan headers, but listing the CPU fan on this unit seems pointless to me. I can't imagine someone needing to disconnect a case fan header and have it work as a CPU fan header AND multiple case fan headers. But then I might be overlooking a special need. I do not know. In any case, it was perfect for my needs. Managed Cables. All fans spin happily. Everything is smooth. Five stars.
