Review in 2 days of use. Seven inches off the floor means you get a platform bed, or if you add a box spring you can get some headroom to cover or meet a headboard you want to attach. The main reason I bought this is to attach this frame to the headboard I bought from Rooms to Go worked great. The only inconvenience I had during the assembly process was that the instructions require you to join the pieces on one side and then flip it over to attach the legs, there are no screws, just the legs hold the pieces together that's how it is it difficult to turn them. Over a frame not attached to anything you can put a bunk board on top of the mattress, or a box spring, a bunk board worked great for me but there is a gap between the mattress and the headboard but you can't notice the pillow and linens. I bought a queen size frame and to my surprise it can be expanded to king size. Feet can be a bit slippery, my floors are tiled. I hope the legs stay in good condition because they are all for this frame. Do they deserve 5 stars? So far the answer is yes, it's rock solid.
