Review on πŸŽ₯ Amcrest 5Series 4K POE NVR 8CH 4K/6MP/5MP/4MP/3MP/1080P Network Video Recorder (8-Port PoE) - Supports up to 8 x 4K IP Cameras, Accommodates up to 2 x 10TB Hard Drives (Not Included) by Kevin Ballard

This unit is better than my cheaper unit I bought in 2020 updated 050321

present I had no problems installing a 1TB hard drive. It took me a few days to try different settings, but the device works great. What I like is that you can use Firefox and other browsers to access the device's GUI and change some settings or view live video from the cameras as well as play the recorded video from the camera. It should be noted that all system settings are not visible or accessible when accessed from a browser, but are visible when logging in from the device itself. I want to be able to see all the browser's options when I log in. in front of the block. I also have four custom ONIF cameras and this unit found them and recorded them with no problem. Note (050321). Recorded video playback seems to be slow when logging into the device via my home intranet, and what I mean when selecting videos to watch from one or more cameras, it takes some time (very slow at times). However, when you log into the front of the device and play the recorded video, it is very responsive.

This is a very 'generic' NVR - virtually identical to the Lorax and Reolink versions.
