I've used them on all of my new outlets and light switches around the house.
I used gray and matte black depending on the room. Light switches are most commonly LED-illuminated, but any decor-style outlet will do. It really cleans up the look without showing the screws. Highly recommended. They come in multiple colors including matte black, gloss black, grey, white etc. They are easily removed by pulling on the underside of the plates or you can use a flat (straight) screwdriver in the slots to pry them off . They don't break and are of good quality.
