I will not use this pan for a leaking washing machine. I have a floor standing air conditioner that I use in the second floor bedroom of my home. The unit started leaking from the carpet it was placed on a few weeks ago. I had to use a steam cleaner to get all the water out. I looked to Revain for something that could collect and hold back water as it ran out of the unit. I never knew pans were made for leaky washing machines, but this pan's design met my needs for fixing leaks in my air conditioner. Not only was this pan cheaper than other brands, it didn't come with a pre-made hole that would ruin my plans for using pans. I am very happy with this purchase, no longer having to wake up in the middle of the night to see if the air conditioner is leaking and no longer have to use mops, towels and a steam cleaner to clean up spills. . This provides certainty regarding an issue that could cause real damage to the home, specifically NOTHING related to a water leak on the second floor of the home.
