Review on Lowepro LP37016 PWW Flipside Backpack Camera by Bobby Plymell

Nearly perfect!

If Lowepro is listening, this bag fits the bill, except it has room for at least a 13-inch laptop. I can fit my Mac Air in it, but it's not designed for that and sits a bit unprotected on its own. Otherwise, it's a great bag. I've tried the Peak Design 45L, Lowepro Protastic, F-Stop Lotus, Ajna, Wandrd Prvke and maybe another or two I sent myself. They all had very good items, but ultimately I liked the comfort, weight, and adjustability of the Flipside 450 camera backpack. I don't have a lot of gear, so I needed something for a mirrorless camera, two lenses, a set of filters, and a few other small items . a third fits if I just rearrange it a little, then there is space above it for jackets, snacks, other equipment etc. And a front pocket offers space for a tablet, pens, batteries and other things. I needed enough room on the sides for a camp chair and a Benro tripod, and I was even able to fit my 3L hydration pack in the front compartment - it can get very warm here so an extra water tank is required. I can set up a water bottle instead of a chair when I don't need a bladder, or use both and tie a tripod to the center section if needed. I won't be using them all the time so it gives me a lot of options. The main thing is that it's light and durable and the panels on the back allow it to breathe so I don't get too hot. The waist belt allows me to rest it on my hips to take the weight off my shoulders. For me, this bag comes closest to the feel of a good hiking pack, like my two Osprey packs. The others above have tested many of the boxes but not as many as this one and when they did they were heavier and much stiffer. . And this bag is almost half the price of most. (Yes, the image design and some others look a bit sexier, but they don't massage your back after long hikes. And if you don't take pictures of you and your backpack, no one will know what you look like.) It just suits me. good and distributes the weight and carries what I need. Last weekend I was 20 pounds and I'm 6 feet and 180 pounds.
