The shoes are somewhat larch wood and fit a wide foot. The biggest problem with this is cleaning: (It gets SUPER dirty after EVERY normal use (like city park, typical rubber mat playground etc.) It needs to be washed at the end of each day as wiping doesn't help. in all .Daughter has 2 hours with sand played in it, but even after cleaning it will most likely end up in the trash :( These shoes are good for a child in terms of comfort and fashion, but for mom it's a nightmare choice for indoor or special events.
