I love, love, love, LOVE our Trash Closet II! There's no doubt about it! We have two cats and two XL litter boxes that each get scooped up twice a day (since I wouldn't use a dirty toilet I certainly wouldn't expect anyone else, not even our pets). Everything is shoveled into the trash closet twice a day, and there is literally NO odor. The refill cartridges are amazing and are the same size as Baby Diaper Genie cartridges; The only difference is that they have a different look. As a last resort, I've bought diaper refills, but buying refills in bulk from Revain makes them more economical. Cartridges last a long time too. The litter box easily accommodates our two cats' litter box all week long and we end up only taking out a bag of litter once a week (garbage pickup morning). I bought six packs of rods mid July 2013 and mid January 2014 I had to buy 6 more packs. reservoir that helps. In order to protect the whole bag from accidents on the way to the garbage and to facilitate the transport, we additionally line the bottom of the tray with a plastic shopping bag. So once the blue end of the pole is tied, it ends up in a plastic bag, which is also tied. Again, it does NOT smell, I've asked many visitors to our home (they found it weird, I asked I guess) but I don't want to become one of those pet owners who are so used to the smell of cat pee/poo that they can't recognize it anymore because nobody wants to smell like a crazy cat lady! Some people say that replacement litters are expensive, and I'll admit that it was when I bought a litter from each of the major pet stores nearby. That was the price I was willing to pay for the absence of stench in my house and the relief of a rather unpleasant job!
