2019 model - improved?!? - It's up to you

Still thinking about it. I bought it and compared it to the previous model and while it definitely has some advantages over its predecessor, one has to wonder if they made a decision to cut costs rather than create a better product. Here is what you "gain" with the latest model compared to the pre-2019 model: - Much lighter weight. - Improved water bottle pocket. - More choice of colors. The following is missing: - All zippers [middle hole] are gone. NO. EVEN. ONE. LEFT. for the main branch. This is a big minus for me as you keep your bag in your hotel room so you may need a secure compartment. They all have single or double zips and none of them can be used for locking. Compared to the previous bag that was almost everywhere. The fabric looks thinner. According to the description, it is 800, while the previous one was most likely 1000. It appears to be thinner, but that's probably a big part of why it's lighter. - No luggage strap. You're done with that. However, you still have three handles. There is no longer a detachable snap pocket that used to be in the main compartment. Probably a better idea, but again another cost-cutting measure. They removed one of the zippered pockets. Now you have two instead of three where the zippered mesh pocket is located. Why? - Do not put a sign with a name anywhere else. Serious? To make matters worse, there is no possibility to attach a luggage tag on the outside. Come on eBags! - No O-rings to attach things from the outside. As a result, according to the above description, you will receive a subsequently dismantled car for the same price. Is that an improvement? You decide. Don't get me wrong, this is a nice bag, but while some of the previously questionable features have been removed, others make it seem like the goal was to cut costs.
