Flash drive is fast but picky about the files copied to it. So if you are copying a lot of small files, the speed will drop to a very SLOW speed and even stop. Copying large files like 1.5GB mp4 is very fast, around 60Mbps (this is on a slow computer with 3.0 USB). I'm happy with that. This is the fastest cheap drive I've ever had and I have a lot of flash drives. hope it lasts
