Comes with two new gaskets, one more like a bushing going around the center oil supply port and the other around the filter cover. I think that's a nice touch, although half the time I forget to change the old ones. This is a motorcycle oil filter. I change it along with the oil in my bike so often that I don't care too much about the overall quality or its sheer ability to filter out particles. In any case, it is replaced long before functional restrictions occur. I usually use Fram filters for the life of my bike, mainly because they're cheap and readily available. I've put 34,000 miles on my 2008 Kawasaki KLR 650 with no problems.
