After high ratings, enthusiastic comments from some customers and marketing of the Rowenta product, we were excited about our new Rowenta Focus Xcel iron. Despite having the iron on, after +1 hour of waiting in vain for the soleplate to heat up, we finally resigned ourselves to getting a lemon. It is unfortunate that Rowenta does not have better quality control and final inspection before shipping the product. We will be very reluctant to buy another Rowenta product as the chance that we will get a lemon on the very first Rowenta product we buy is statistically very small unless Rowenta has a significantly higher rejection rate than usual.
