Heavy, Brittle, Slow Drying, Difficult to Use

This was my first experience with this brand's handprint kit. I've used Pearhead brand kits successfully in the past, but bought this one because I was looking for something less expensive. I also liked the idea of getting 2 packs and making 2 decorations. We followed the instructions in the packaging exactly. The dough is very sticky and too wet and was very difficult for me to work with. The kit says to roll out the dough with a roller in the mold, but it's not included in the kit. (Everything imaginable is in there, including a tiny piece of plastic drinking straw to poke a hole in, gold paint, and a brush that I think is too big to use.) The small letter stamper was also difficult to use because the letters remained sliding into purple holder. I was very careful when cutting them out, using model making tools to make sure there were no burrs or rough edges on the pieces. I found that when I used a letter stamp in front of the handprint as instructed, the handprint deformed the entire piece so much that the letters became crumpled and ugly. So we tried to make the letters durable, which only works as long as the letters in the holder don't move while you're using it. We had to completely redo some of the handprints because the letters moved into the little purple piece when we tried to use it as a stamp. After four days of dehydration - here in the desert! They are anything but dry. At best, they're halfway there. Her whole ass seems soft and wet, motionless. And they are heavy! The previously dried parts are also clearly brittle. So when these things are completely dry, it looks like the end result will be heavy and brittle. Can't say I like the idea of hanging them on a tree. It's too late for me to repeat this project or choose another brand this holiday season, but if I could do it again I wouldn't choose this kit. .
