Hair is soft, full with a mix of fine to medium strands and almost unnaturally shiny straight out of the pack. The color is a little more yellow/warmer than the picture (more honey than wheat) but I already knew I would have to tint it to match my existing color. I ordered four bundles, got about 220 and used just under 200 to do the whole head as my natural hair is very short. I had to throw away about 8-10 pieces where the bond holding the hair to the metal tip was either not fully bonded or got damaged in processing. Installation is pretty easy, although it takes a lot of time, with the help of a patient and forgiving friend. The hardest part is determining how many hairs go through the pearl; much less than you think. Be sure to use silicone-lined beads. I only had 2 pieces fall off after 2 washes (finding that disturbing pearl is a nightmare!). When worn loose, the attachment points are completely invisible, although depending on how close you get to the edges, they may be visible when you push back if you locate them. In general I am completely satisfied with my purchase.
