Review on Smart bracelet HONOR Band 5, blue by Indal Mandal ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I like the product very much, fully consistent with my expectations.

It's not Honor's problem, but Google Fit is not very convenient. Google fit sees the bracelet application, but it does not load all the data from it, sadness. Tested on my mother's iPhone - their application (like "health") is fire. All data is pulled, plus data from other applications (for example, pressure from an omron, weighing from scales) and beauty in general. Overall result: I am satisfied, everything suits me. I needed a pulse during the day, sleep monitoring, steps, an ellipse, more or less waterproof, without incomprehensible disconnects and a charge to keep for more than 3 days. The bracelet met my expectations.

Pros
  • 1. IP68 dust/water proof. I didn’t try to swim with them, but my child is in the bath, dipping my hand with a watch without fear, I also go to the shower calmly. For comparison, my mother has a watch from another manufacturer with IP67 (slightly worse water protection) - she scooped water into the device when bathing her grandson. (It worked out, but the screen was misted from the inside for several days, unpleasantly). 2. Holds the bluetooth normally. If it loses bluetooth (when moving away from the phone), then it connects normally when approaching the phone. This is usually in an apartment, there is a lot of space, the walls are thick. On the street, when the phone is nearby, I always know that they are calling / writing to me, even if it is noisy or the phone is on silent, the bluetooth does not lose. 3. Normal choice of dials. I bought it for the new year 2022, looked at the reviews, they said that there were few dials, there was no choice. Apparently, those reviews were outdated, there were already dials for ng 2022, well, definitely more than 5, I didn’t count how many, maybe 50. 4. There is a pulse oximeter. What a great gift for 2022. I had pneumonia this year, the pulse oximeter showed less than 95. Before the illness, it always showed 98, I thought that it always showed that way. But no. 5. I like the application, it shows what I wanted. (sleep, pulse, steps). There is an elliptical trainer that I needed. Even if you do not enter the application for a week, the data will be all in place for the past days. Apparently, the bracelet periodically loads them. 6. I don’t know how to measure steps, there is nothing to compare with. But if you lie on the couch and move your arms, the steps do not count. Moreover, in an hour he will write - you do not move for an hour (if you enable it in the settings). 7. With always-on heart rate measurement and sleep monitoring, it works for 5 days on a single charge. Charges quickly. 8. No scratches for half a year.
Cons
  • 1. Strap. It does not unfasten, everything is ok, it holds well. But it is smooth inside, not corrugated. There are no grooves for ventilation. There are a lot of holes on it, but they didn’t save me (the bracelet doesn’t spin on my arm), anyway, I got irritation from the fact that the skin didn’t breathe under the strap. Gradually the problem disappeared. Either the skin got used to it, or I started to treat the silicone of the strap with chlorhexidine water every couple of days (now it’s already a habit). 2. Smart alarm (should choose the best moment to wake up in the time interval) woke me up once in total. Judging by the schedule, I slept a deep sleep, and the bracelet decided that there was nothing to wake up a sound sleeper. At least at the end of the specified interval he woke up, but no. Be careful with this setting.
