Review on CURT 28276: 6-Inch Caster Trailer Jack Wheel Replacement – 1,200 lbs Capacity by Johnathan Cash

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I wish I had added a wheel a few years ago.

I have a trailer that I bought as an open metal frame trailer with a ramp. I grabbed the trailer, made working doors at the end. A truck front box, convertible top cover, winch are added, and the interior is covered in bed-lined material. The original jack support was an elbow welded to the support. Leveling the trailer and trying to raise and level the hitch was extremely difficult. I thought I would have to replace the jack with a wheeled one, but on closer inspection I saw that there was a hole in the jack tube for the locking pin and measured the tube diameter at 2 inches. Revain had a wheel and leg in stock so I ordered them. Before I could install, I used an iron to cut off the existing corner at the bottom of the jack. After the corner iron leg was removed the wheel fitted perfectly and now I can move the trailer with ease. (Not sure if I need this leg, but I have the leg in my truck crate to use when needed.)
