Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Wii Dance Pad Controller for Dance Dance Revolution by Chris Rigsby

The disadvantages are quite manageable.

I won't repeat what has been said in detail but I'll just go through it.- Top as it seems. Shiny plastic that won't slip barefoot (unless you're REALLY sweaty). The bottom is a rubber substance that holds the product in place. Great for carpets. The cable is long enough. Should be fine for almost anything (even if it's a big event with a projector or big screen) - works for the Gamecube as it has a Gamecube cable/connector/thing that you plug into connect the console. That also means it will work with any Wii that supports Gamecube controllers. If there's a device you can connect your Gamcube controllers to, you can connect this dance floor to that too. Now, to address the major downside that everyone has mentioned, this product has had press/publication issues. Keys can be pressed when you haven't pressed them, or not pressed when you've pressed them. This is much more the former than the latter, but we found a workaround for the former. All you have to do is grab the problem area of the dance floor at the top and bottom, then pull them apart firmly. Of course, you don't want to disassemble your product, so pay attention to the context, but if you do it regularly (1-2 times per game session), you can almost completely avoid this problem. It's also worth noting that this mainly affects the DOWN, +, and - keys (which translate to the START and Z keys, respectively, for Gamecube players). The A, B, UP, LEFT and RIGHT buttons seem intact to me. The bottom line is, if this ever becomes a problem, just follow the workaround above and it should all sort itself out. However, if you want to play DDR at the highest level, you should opt for something more professional or be prepared to use the workaround more often than you probably would like. How often you need a workaround is directly proportional to how hard/hard you play. If you are buying this product for a young child (under 13 years old), you can certainly buy it. Tell them about the workaround. Otherwise a reliable product. The quality is good too, I don't see it breaking for a while even though I've only just started using it.
