I was looking for less clunky trainers for a trip to Europe. This was my first Skechers purchase after reading all the reviews. I'm a solid 6.5 in a dress and trainers. I bought a navy blue 6.5 and a taupe 7. 6.5 is too small. You can see the outline of my nail pressed against the top of the shoe. No room for socks. Size 7 fits better - about 3/8 inch between the toe and the top of the boot. A size 7 fits a thin sock, but if you want to use thick hiking socks for fall, they won't fit (you'll probably need a size 7.5). narrow - very little room for the toes. If a wide width is available, this can be a reasonable choice. Very poor bow support. If you plan to put in orthopedic insoles, etc., you will need to buy larger shoes. I put on 7 and did my usual 3 mile walk. The pillow is good - I don't know how long it will last. My legs are not tired and there are no calluses. I will continue to wear them at home to see how they feel. Both pairs creak loudly when walked on. Wish I had bought the navy blue at £7. Taupe has a "pink" tinge to it.
