I liked the color. It improves usage lol, but seriously, it's quite long and the braided purple cord helps a lot with quick identification of apple cords. My mother is not very tech savvy and often tried to charge her tablet with an Apple key. I was afraid she would break it. My insulin pump has its own Lightning Android USB port and she connected it to her tablet! Luckily I discovered this quickly because the connector was overheating and medical device connectors are no joke for the price! Anyway, that's the point. She can easily tell that the purple cord is different from my cords and she doesn't get upset because it's right there! It's also long enough to get to her sofa from my food bar next to my chair, which is next to each other but not directly next to each other like me. So far it's working well and we haven't even used the extra one. I named it Android USB and we saved it.
