Without looking closely you might think it is real granite or marble. I converted the garage into a "little house" and bought cheap countertops to save money. I wanted to switch them to real stuff but I don't have the time or money so I decided to give this a try. Perfect for my small kitchen. The edge of my countertop had a slight waterfall edge, which was quite tricky, but I was able to traverse most of the edge smoothly. It was also a little fiddly behind the sink and around corners, but other than that it was pretty easy to use. I ended up with a few tiny bubbles that you can barely see, it was almost impossible to remove them all, but I did it all myself, if someone worked with you it could probably be done. It also hangs over my dishwasher so I was worried it would chip from the hot steam but so far it hasn't happened. I forgot to take a real "before" but found an old photo so you can see how much it lit up the area.
