I was skeptical but it really worked.

My daughter accidentally broke the headphone jack on her brother's iPod (7th generation). The connector broke in two. I started with the smaller extractor and then the next larger one. Got both parts out in less than 5 minutes. Use pliers to tighten the handle if you take it off and it comes straight out.
