Due to COVID-19, my parents moved into my home from an apartment in New York. They live in my basement, but there is a problem - the humidity is 75%. I tried leaving the door and window open to let some moisture out, but that meant less privacy. After about a couple of weeks of continuous use, I was shocked at how much water it was pulling out of my basement. Now it keeps the humidity low and stays stable at 50%. No more damp and odor feeling. Feel much better in the basement. It has an automatic function, I can set the desired humidity level and it switches off automatically when the bucket is full. Automatic defrost in case of coil icing. It has a 1.5 gallon water tank, large capacity reduces emptying time (I'm a bit lazy, just one emptying is very convenient for me every day). I worked well, didn't make much noise, and dramatically improved my basement. hope it lasts
