They were MUCH longer than I expected. Last time I wore 7 1/2 running shoes at Nike and mostly 7 Wide in regular shoes but these Adidas were huge. There was about 1 1/2 to 2 inches of room behind my thumb in the toe box and they were quite wide. I used to have adidas shoes which I loved because they were so comfortable and supportive, plus they were roomy enough and magically I didn't have the horrible shin splints that everyone else does. I had to buy as many of these as possible so that when they finally ran out I wouldn't be stuck with all those failed replacement attempts. I didn't think they were 6 1/2. Maybe 7? Either way, maybe they're just ridiculously big. They seemed a bit soft but supportive. They would probably be good if the size was right. They're probably better for running on a treadmill or indoors than outdoors, as the soles don't look like they were built for outdoor traction or durability. But I don't know for sure as they are too long and I don't know if I will try again in a smaller size. I just wanted to use them as a support shoe for outdoor walking and long standing, hopefully without shin splints and pain in my back, hips and knees.
