Yes, there are no instructions, but it's really not difficult if you want to understand everything. Although it's clearly not for everyone. It didn't take me long to assemble them and hang them on the wall with string. I made sure to make holes at the top and bottom so they both fit the stud/posts in the wall. I wouldn't trust anchors with that huge/heavy bulb. My smaller onion squeezed into one of the cages, but the larger one couldn't! So I ordered another cage. I am very happy with them so far and so are my plants!
