I've had the system for 8 months now. The cameras themselves are of good quality but the body is plastic, it's ok but I wouldn't like it in direct sunlight. I'm frustrated by the DVR box and the software that runs it all. It took me forever to realize that the software was constantly changing the system time to the wrong one. The Network Time Protocol (NTP) turns this off to fix it, it connects to the internet and thinks it's the right time, but it's wrong. I usually have to reboot the system to change the settings later due to random software bugs. For example, everyone goes into the camera settings and clicks on the camera to change the settings and I can't change anything because it thinks I'm pressing a keyboard key and keep typing //////// into the camera field name. Just a lot of little bugs like this one. Sometimes the main menu keeps crashing and you can't click anything unless you do a full system reboot. Never had a problem with the software and phone notifications and everything is much better now!
