I took off a star because it's harder to clean than my ceramic cookware. Resin has a more textured surface than ceramic and tends to get dirty after a while, requiring more thorough cleaning. I was having a problem with mealworms flying out of the feeder and it was driving me insane knowing I was putting 15 mealworms in a bowl and my leopard gecko Chito could only eat 8 of them. Good. The concept is great. The lip comes out enough where they fall over the exit. The problem is that the top is loose. It is meant to be removed so you can clean it. Recently we have had problems with a lot of mealworms escaping our first feeder. Not sure if they got hit by a gecko or crawled out or both as some of them were smaller. I had never seen anything like it and figured there wouldn't hurt to try. I give it a low rating because judging by the photos and the price as it is intended for feeding insects I thought it would be smooth inside but it's texture is so mealy worms can crawl out too. The other downside is that the top doesn't fit the bottom perfectly, which is what I have, so it rocks and there's even room for them to crawl through the gap.
