WOW! There are a few possibilities with this portable photo studio. The fact that it is self-contained, compact and large was an advantage for me. Yes, there are other half-price devices on the market, but the versatility this device offers just doesn't strike me. It's easy to set up. You don't even need to read the manual, it's so easy to use. All parts are foldable, and the device itself is compact, like a folding table folded in half with a handle. It takes 2-3 minutes to install and also 2-3 minutes to take apart and put away. You can shoot from above (1 slot), from the front (3 slot positions), and from the entire front for large items. A medium-sized duffel bag fits in here, so it's quite large. When I received the velcro backdrop it had a crease (as you will see in the photos) but it's easy to fix so it wasn't a deal breaker for me. Worst case you can provide your own background. The way the background is folded in half and fixed with Velcro on the top of the device, when packing there is always a crease, it seems like it is halfway. Mine wasn't folded in half when I got it, it was actually folded oddly, resulting in an incorrect diagonal fold line. I'll just boil it down. In general, the product is durable and not flimsy. The unit comes with lamps built in, so is part of the unit, not sure if they can be replaced or not. The lighting itself is more than adequate for a photo shoot. You have the option to connect the device to the network or not, so you can use your own or natural light if you wish. It comes with only one background (white). You can of course use different backgrounds of your choice. For comparison, I shot a can of Pepsi at two ranges with a Nikon D90 DSLR. I also shot the iPad with the screen on (disclaimer: the iPad has a protective glass on the screen) and I shot it on top of the device so you can see the glare from the lighting system of the device BUT when I shot it from the front I have no glare. I also photographed the Gold Award figure and it came out great, much better than other conditions and natural light so no complaints. Yes I did see some kind of reflection in it as it was pure gold with reflective properties but it wasn't like other shots where it collected everything and everyone so I was perfectly happy. The rest of the pictures just show how to fold and repack it very easily. Several photos were now taken of the unit, with the lights already off, being boxed. The power cord and instructions also have an integrated zip pocket for easy storage. 13 photos included.
