I like to take a light backpack and sleep in nature without tinkering with the tent, unless I'm going camping with another person for a few days. With this hammock I can set it up in trees in 3 minutes to get the shade I need. On cold days I just throw the headboard up and use thermal underwear when it gets colder. The mosquito net is a very useful addition when camping near the water. I use a side case that usually contains a hammock to hold my sunglasses and a few items and it doubles as a large cup holder. The included flat straps are great for keeping the rope from banging into trees. For long spans between trees, the parachute cords act as a weight extension between the hammock and the harnesses.
