This camera is evil. The only way to get something better is to buy a professional camera! It's fine for me - full manual, full auto, or something in between. In airplanes you have to operate the F-Stop manually. No problem - just switch to a/s/m mode on the dial and press up/down to change aperture and left/right to change aiming light level and the shutter speed will be adjusted automatically . And the lens collects light like no other. Exposure 1/40-1/80 in the night stadium at ISO100 and shutter speed 1/200 at ISO400. Cool thing with digital zoom. Reduce the resolution to 1024x768 and use the 2x lossless digital zoom (a 2048x1536 photo is taken and the 1024x768 average is kept). Maximum digital zoom is 2.5x at 2048x1536, 5x at 1024x768, and 7.5x at 640x480 (multiplied by 3x optical zoom! -- 22.5x total zoom , if you don't mind the loss of quality with full digital zoom and 640x480 recording). (I use 1024x768 in games for 3xO/5xD/15Xtotal).
