Fantastic Planted Aquarium Substrate

I just got back into fishing and decided to use all live plants, which I've never done before. It's been 10 weeks and I already have four tanks. I used this sand in my 30 gallon and put it in an upgraded 6.5 gallon tank today. It is beautiful and I am delighted with my purchase! Advantages: 1. Very good for sensitive bottom dwellers like Corey Cats. Mine are constantly playing and romping, leaving happy little footprints all over the tank. They love it! My mystery snails and Malaysian trumpeters love it too! Plants love it! My plants go crazy in this tank and they take longer to settle into tanks with Eco Complete and Tahitian Moonlight (which are also beautiful btw). I transplanted a few plants today and after about 8 weeks in the tank they have 6 inch roots. The soft sand makes it easy to place plants without damaging them.3. The bright color is really pretty and makes it easy to recognize different creatures. It's a bit beachy and contrasts sharply with my Tahitian black moon sand aquarium. Cons: 1. Somewhat difficult to clean. Take my advice from someone else and buy a mini gravel vacuum. This is the ideal solution for cleaning up sand without completely sucking it out of the tank.2. Actually not a minus point, but a piece of advice: FIRST WASH! I did this by emptying the bag into a large 5 gallon bucket I bought cheap at Walmart. Grab a stool (this will take some time) and bring the bucket to the outer hose. Use the strongest, most focused attachment you have. Sit down and violently shoot water at the sand. Use water to fluff it up. You will be shocked by the small particles that come out! Pour out the water carefully (don't worry, the sand will stay in the bucket) and repeat the process. Rinse until the water runs clear. Believe me. You will thank me later! You really can't go wrong with this sand!
