The xtava clipless curling iron is a great styling tool. I have a 1-1.5 inch wand and it does a good job with my long straight hair creating waves and curls. My hair is really straight when I'm not doing anything to it, and sometimes I like it when it's a little bouncy and full of volume. This wand gives her these. Plus, it's long — longer than the middle of my back, so getting it to hold a curl is only part of the problem. Having a run that was long enough was also a problem. Ever since I was younger, clip-on rollers have gotten tangled in my hair. It's not fun at all, so I really liked that it didn't have a clip. The trunk is long enough to even accommodate my long hair. The temperature can be adjusted from 200 to 410 degrees depending on the hair type. A very nice feature is the rotatable cable connection. This keeps the cord from getting tangled, even as you move from side to side and hand to hand. And the cord! Its length is 8 feet 10 inches! You can maneuver without getting in the way of the cable. The supplied accessories are also impressive. The glove works great! Others only come with finger wraps that only cover the index finger and thumb, but this is a full glove that allows you to wrap your hair without worrying about accidentally touching a bare finger. The pouch is great for storing, carrying or traveling with a wand. The zip pocket has a heat-resistant lining to prevent the warm stick from damaging other items. The black box has a magnetic closure which is also great for storage or to protect from dust between uses. This wand gives me good curls and waves, but when I really need a good strong hold I use a bit of mousse, gel or hairspray. on my hair when it's still damp and it helps keep it firmer and thicker than if I don't use anything. I haven't had a single problem with this wand. It heats up quickly and I enjoyed the results I got. This is a product that I have no hesitation in recommending.
