Review on πŸ”Œ Lewis and Clark Heavy-Duty Cable by Shannon Brown

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Small strong TSA compliant padlock

This is a braided cable lock for luggage or bags. The outer shell of the lock is metal, the dials (there are 3 of them) are metal, the braided cable is metal. All in all, this is a very well made castle. At the first reception, you must set your combination. To do this, proceed as follows: 1. Set the lock to 0-0-02. Disconnect the cable from the lock.3. Take a pen or small pointed object and press (HOLD) the shiny round button below.4. To repeat, hold down the button for the next step.5. Set the combination to the desired 3 digit number and make sure you hear a "click” each time you turn the dial.6. Release the button.7. Lock the cable again. Ready. Additionally, there is a switch on the lock that can be made "black", which turns red when the lock has been opened. If the TSA opens your bag, they'll let you know (unless they change it back to black). Very safe as far as the routine "spitting" goes. However, the cable can be easily cut with bolt cutters or, if you prefer, just cut the fabric from your luggage's zipper. However, it is TSA approved and protects your luggage from the public. Excellent quality yet lightweight.
