Review on 🎎 Daruma Otoshi Japanese Traditional Toy: Authentic 7-inch Recreation by Shantel Griffin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is what it looks like and it's a fun addition to a Japanese social studies class

Buying this toy is like buying a set of jacks for me. Do you like the idea of playing jacks? Then you will like the purchased jacks. Likewise, unless the hammer breaks (which you can always glue back together), I think this will get a 5-star rating every time. If you don't know how to play this game, watch the video about Daruma Otoshi. We bought a 9", it's well made and the hammer still holds. We bought it to complete the Japanese Social Studies section and the kids had a lot of fun with it. We also made a more advanced version where You throw a die and then count the number of discs from the bottom to determine which disc to pop.Much more difficult than always hitting the bottom disc and therefore more fun/useful for older children.

Pros
  • Housekeeping and cooking
Cons
  • boring packaging
