The material is a bit thinner and scratchier than I thought it would be, but it doesn't really matter. I bought these for my son to wear at home in the winter here in Southeast Texas (not too cold). My son is 5ft 4in and weighs 120#. I bought a boys size 18 and they fit great with little room to grow but are still wearable. It's an in-between size between boys and men so they will work. until he can be in a man's smalls.
