Review on πŸ”Œ Ziyituod PCIe SATA Card, 4 Port SATA Expansion with 4 Cable Set – Marvell 9215 Non-Raid Controller, Support 4 SATA 3.0 Devices by Jonathan Fernandez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It works with Windows XP, but follow the installation steps in the right order.

I'm helping a friend upgrade an old Windows XP tower. Windows Update for XP itself couldn't find any device drivers for this card, so I scanned the QR code that came in this adapter's box, which took me to http://www.ziyituod.net/ProDetail.aspx?ProId= 110 , unlike the previous reviews, this site is in English. Turn off the computer, install the adapter card, but do not insert the XP boot disk into this new adapter card, leave it connected to the motherboard SATA port. Turn on your computer. Windows Update for XP cannot find the driver itself. Install the device driver downloaded from the manufacturer's website. Turn off your computer. NOW connect the SATA cable from your XP boot disk to this new adapter card and turn on your computer and XP will boot properly. My next step is to dual boot this card with Windows XP on the old drive so my friend can continue using his old Photoshop software and Windows 10 on the SSD.

Pros
  • ➀Chipset --- With Marvell 88SE9215 chip, more stable and compatible. FIS-based port multiplier and command-based switching are supported.
Cons
  • I have doubts
